Miyetti Allah and some of the northern state governor will cry foul saying that the Nigerian constitution guarantee them the right of abode in any town of their choice unmolested.

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state and governor Nasir AhmadvEl Rufai of Kaduna state will play the ethnicity card challenging the southern governor of victimizing their own northern people.

As it is mainly yoruba and igbo trader that are basically affected by the quit order hence the northern elders and leaders are keeping quiet.

There was nobody monitoring illegal structures before they were being completely built? Can you swear that the saner climes would render its own citizens homeless? What are all out taxes being used for? You make sense most times , but the one single time you wouldn't make sense renders all my respect for you invalid. To be frank, you will have a tough time making good decisions because you are moved by what you hear, and not see.

The Lagos state government should not compound to it.

I would say the thought is commendable, but the approach is sparogatively tyrannical.

This what I always thought...this people came from somewhere, they could have developed themselves to be economically viable there. But decided to move to a place without any plans than to build Pako houses and litter the environment with feaces.

Once they destroy those shanties they will go back to their parents house. Africans get papa house. We are not poor.

Physical and urban development means nothing to the poor. Nigerians are extremely poor and people are struggling to survive. For a poor man and struggling families, beautiful physical development means nothing to them.

Let's focus on aggressive human capital and social systems development. A hungry man places no emphasis on decorum, decency and neatness. Where his next meal will come is his priority even if it means abusing the urban landscape of the city.

I am not supporting the people building those shanties but the poverty level in this country has reached an elevated level. Please do well to inform the people in power as it seems you are closer to them.

First, the demolitions are primarily being made to enable road construction, and not beautification….

Nonetheless, more likely to be more investment and thus development (including human capital development) in an organized lawful nation than in a chaotic lawless one. Chaos and lawlessness leads to divestment, and thus more poverty and hunger.
