The Role
We are looking for a Content Creator to help develop, write and publish various types of pieces on our website and social media platforms.
Your responsibilities include writing short commentaries on our events, videos, prepare our press releases and write articles. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with digital publishing engaging and insightful contents that will increase our readership and traffic. Please share samples of your work (portfolio or links to published articles) along with your application.
Your Responsibilities
• Research & understand Black-related topics and conversations
• Write short commentaries on our past and future events
• Create synopsis for our video interviews
• Create and distribute marketing copy to advertise our company and products
• Interview industry professionals and incorporate their views in blog posts
• Edit and proofread written pieces before publication
• Promote content on social networks and monitor engagement (e.g. comments and shares)
• Identify customers’ needs and recommend new topics
• Update our websites as needed
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Content Creator or similar role
• Portfolio of published articles
• Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)
• Excellent writing and editing skills in English
• An ability to fact-check long-form content pieces
• Time-management skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Higher Education degree or on-going

Reason I mentioned the number of hours is we do not expect the person to do all the above in one week of work. As mentioned, this is an initial 3-months project and the tasks above are what we expect to be delivered over the period of time. We will work with the selected candidate to determine weekly deliverables based on the number of working hours agreed.
