Seplat Energy has today opened London Stock Exchange trading at an official Market Opening ceremony.

Seplat Energy is a leading independent energy company operating in the prolific Niger Delta area of Nigeria and a leading supplier of processed gas to the domestic market. In 2014 the company completed the first ever dual listing on both the London Stock Exchange (LSEG) and the Nigerian Stock Exchange and remains the only Nigerian company to do so.

Later today Seplat Energy will be hosting a Capital Markets Day at LSEG where the company’s executive team will provide an update on corporate strategy and opportunities to drive Nigeria’s energy transition towards lower-carbon fuels and renewables.

Commenting on the Capital Markets Day today, Roger Brown, Chief Executive Officer, said: “We are delighted to be back at London Stock Exchange seven years after our successful IPO and dual listing.
