Earth's Mightiest Heroes may have just met their match in the forthcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe villain Kang the Conqueror. In Avengers: Mech Strike, his techno-organic monsters began wreaking havoc across the globe, Kang the Conqueror has been waiting for just the right moment to finish off the Avengers and claim their world as his own. Since revealing himself, he has annihilated Black Panther and crashing time into itself, putting the Avengers on the defenseive.

But just when all seemed lost, a younger Thanos emerged, offering to take these Avengers, who who were strangers to him, in, and to help them turn the tide of battle against Kang the Conqueror.
Although the Avengers are well aware of Thanos, this Mad Titan has no idea who these brightly-colored heroes are. However, he's well aware of their shared enemy Kang.

The time-traveling villain has taken complete control of the Avengers' Celestial headquarters Avengers Mountain, and after integrating himself into its systems has gained near-complete control over reality. Still, he cannot find the Avengers until they make themselves known, and they draw his attention to give Thanos a shot at taking Kang down. When the opportunity arises, Thanos and the Avengers assemble on Kang's location.

Now hooked into the Celestial technology of the Avengers' headquarters, Kang has a near-limitless amount of power, including near-complete control over time itself.

With little more than a thought and a hand around Thanos' throat, Kang sends the Mad Titan fast-forwarding through the span of his entire life in a single moment, and he reduced the MCU's most powerful villain into bones and dust.

Even if this story isn't exactly canon to the rest of the Marvel Universe, this version of Kang is primarily enhanced beyond any others by his connection to Avengers Mountain, which is something that could just as easily happen in the primary timeline. For all of the forms that Kang has taken over the years, it didn't take much to make Kang a threat who could destroy Thanos with the snap of his fingers.

Even the mighty Thanos needed Infinity Stones to wreak this kind of havoc in the MCU and the Marvel Universe, and that only happened after years of plotting and planning. With several lifetimes of conquests and seemingly limitless time and technology at his disposal, Kang presents a Thanos-level threat with almost no modifications, and moments like this prove why he's arguably been the Avengers' greatest threat for decades.

While the timely return of a greatly empowered Black Panther might give the Avengers another shot at this Kang, the villain still has the distinction of taking Thanos down with one devastating strike, which is something that almost no one else in the Marvel Multiverse can say.
