MejiLoyon:Don't mind the goat! She has been polluting the world with news of high she is living in a high brow neighbourhood in a third world country. Read her story about how she reacted to the fuel attendant's attempt to defraud her and you will easily see she is an agbero herself who will not hesitate to lynch a thief. |

I don’t believe the pump in one. No one could prove how air instead of fuel could be pumped in, even for cooking gas |

@Op, you must have worked as an attendant to know about "recall", you should also note that not all pump have the recall function. i strongly disagree with the air selling tactics coz fuel pump are not design to dispense air, the meter on the pump moves at the pressure of fuel that flows through it. their is another on easy tactics attendant use to cheat customer called (gbewoo) when an attendant notice notice a vehicle approaching the pump, he / she will quickly look for bike or jerry can that wont buy much fuel like (#200-#500) the attendant will quickly sell to the bike or jerrycan without programming the pump while the car is to position and continue selling to the car without hanging the nozzle nor stop or resetting pump. you have to be very sharp, attentive and calculative to do this as not to raise suspicion buy the customer. coz you need to stop the pump at exact price the customers wants i.e #1000.00 coz anything like #1000.39 will surely raise suspicion. |

jojomario:this is how recall works, if a customer request for #2000 and the attendant sold #2000 not quite long withing 1-10 sales, the attendant will program less than 2k fuel and press the recall button with the no of the recall sale he/she wants to use (recall + eg 2, if the attendant sold #2000 for the last 2 customer, with another button depending on the type of pump. the bottom line is that the pump will also dispense #1000 fuel while displaying #2000 on the board. how to detect this is that the attendant presses like 3 functional button on the pump simultaneously or using like 3 fingers to press the pad at once, you will also notice the price will actually jump from #1000 to #2000 on the display. this is why they employ the distraction tactics to divert ur attention. |

drlaykay:The op himself does not understand. There is nothing like air pumping. It's not paying attention that makes people think air has been pumped into their tank |

ifeolamide00:this type of cheating is easy when the "plate" where the bottom of the nozzle rest on the pump is faulty, the attendant will need to start and stop the pump from the control pad on the dispenser. |

Do you also know that attendant also cheat the filling station buy getting fuel from the dispenser without the meter reading, they call this technique "pumping" but u cant do this if the station is powered by a generator coz if will make some crazy sound which will raise suspicion if the station manager or supervisor is around and experienced. |

Some of those attendants are thieves jere. They do lock the pipes to reduce the flow of the fuel.. I took my keg to buy fuel of 2k at one station not too far from my place the thing no even full my keg...it was as if 1½ -2 litrs was omitted from it and i go reach another fuel station still buy with the same amount and my keg go full reach the brink. |

okwadatigbogal:The rudeness and bad attitude is usually an attempt to cover up and hopefully, you leave in anger. In such cases, what I've seen peeps who want to burst their scam do (when buying in a gallon) is return the fuel. Ask for the manager. And make them resell in the same gallon. |
