FBI agents visited Nigeria last week to meet with senior police officers in order to effect the warrant of arrest on Kyari

This is the part I still don't get.

The crime of scamming was committed by Hush against a Qatari in the UAE.

The crime of taking bribe was committed by Kyari in Nigeria .

In what way does the two cases above constitute a crime against the American people that they want Kyari tried in the US?

Can somebody shed light on this?

If this is the average Nigerian mindset to the fact that a top government official was fully aware of the crimes of an international fraud syndicate and not only turned a blind eye to it, but received bribes and protected them, is there any reason to hope for Nigeria?

This looks like a sensational headline aimed as a click ait. These people have been arrested long before Anna Kyari was declared wanted by the FBI. So if he will be extradited, it will be based more on the FBI making renewed efforts at that rather than the arrest of these three accomplices which were named alongside Abba Kyari but which were arrested much earlier.

You see, all these Abba Kyari brouhaha came as a rude shock to the ruling hegemony. They wouldn't in their wildest dreams have thought that any reason as compelling as this accusation will ever upset their plans.

The tradition is to have a kin in the top position and someone from other parts of the country as second in command, in this case Disu. So the plan would have been that Kyari will still be around for a very long time during which another replacement for Disu will come in form of forced retirement due to his contemporary being named the IGP.

If they ever envisaged this sudden disruption happening, they would have made another fulani extract the second in command to Kyari so that soon as the latter is out of the picture, another fulani expectedly steps in.

Now hesitantly, they needed to name Disu as the new IRT commander. This does not however mean that he can't still be tactically edged out in the nearest future over flimsy or non-existent reasons though. At least they did it with Kemi Adesosun and that FIRS guy, so who says they can't do it with Disu?

It is so obvious that you are seriously in discomfort that your guy is in the eye of the storm. But he can't do bad and you expect the media not to report it, no. So 20 thousand dollars (10 million naira) is "mere" to you in the concept of bribery and illicit acquisition?
