The problem i have with this thread is simple...

People expect that someone is going to give you power.

Let's start with the two Southern presidents we have had. Obasanjo appeared to have been 'dashed' power. But one thing we forget was that Obasanjo had and still has contacts and followers across this nation. Contacts built up from his days as a military man, and as a retired army officer. Contacts he used to outwitt the North time and time again. Contacts he used well to HELP gej into power.

Gej too eventually built up his support base...which was of use in 2011.

Even this Buhari that is in power...Buhari was not the choice of the Northern elite to begin with. They only backed him because 1) they had no one else 2) Buhari had a lot of support....again built over time and over several decades.

If a Southerner wants to win power....all he needs to do is get the whole SOuth and a majoirty of the middle belt behind him...which is what PDP used to beat Buhari three times...before cracks in the south and middle belt gave Buhari victory in 2015.

You know, I am tired of hearing how the North won't let the SOuth take power. Obasanjo and even GEJ proved that asserttion wrong in 2003 and 2011. Meanwhile, the SOuth is divided...whether it is on secession, restructuring, etc etc.

If we want a Southern president...we need to do it the hard way. Bulkd bridges, build bridges....

If i should go by your words that no particular tribe region own Nigeria, and they will vacate after expiration on tenure.... then why not other regions to support and endorse a South Eastern. This will justify your claim.

The quations is not if he will handover! It should be who is he going to handover to. With the atrcities, genocide, impunity and endless stealing, they have committd. they will need somebody that will cover there part. And conutre form where they stop.
