My question is, after they collect all these monies, how have they planned to use it in protecting people from this their so called hazardous pollution, so the plan is just to collect money from people and eat, then allow the pollution continue. Meanwhile the dunderheads that came up with this very stupid idea, if you visit some of their homes, their generator sets are far bigger and more hazardous than the ones alot of these businesses are even using.

If you are a young man, leave this country if you can, no matter how well you are doing in business or at work. Soon, it will so tough that even the very rich may start crying. As for me, my next visit to the UK will be my last. I'm seriously getting things ready.

Speaking for BMC and the Vulture-Grilling Business owner who sometimes transform himself into the self acclaimed alias of nairaland police:

The money collected would be used to clean up Abuja municipal areas from hazardous emissions.
The polluted air will be washed with special detergents imported from Ukraine
God bless our darling daddy for keeping our air clean: without you, we would have been breathing in bad air in the FCT

#Just simply to work on the electricity generation capacity of Nigeria our darling daddy is not aware!

I have said and I keep saying it that the reeason why Nigeria doesn't have steady power is because Nigerians are benefiting from it. The painful thing is that the people making life miserable for Nigerians are fellow Nigerians. I know the west will never allow us to have steady power because the generators and other equipments we buy from them helps their economy but seeing Nigerians sell their conscience to these people and watching us pay the price is so disheartening.
How this one take relate to the matter on ground

We at Greenify Power System have consistently been persuading individuals and corporate bodies to think out side the box, that generators is not the first choice in tackling short fall in personal or corporate energy need.
Nigeria and Egypt happens to be number one in consumption of generators of all kinds.
We are not advocating total elimination of generators, but let it be for standby mode only. Generators has contributed to gross inefficiency of public power systems in Nigeria.
I will give an example, why workers strike fail in Nigeria? A colleague of mine, whose wife work with one federal agencies that want to embark on a strike were told openly by their DG that if they go on strike, he wouldn't be bothered, because most of the female folks have business men as husband, so they can stay as long as the like at home, possibility of many of them coming back to the office pregnant.
Same way the public power authority PHCN>DISCOS having known that most business ran their outlets on generators, why will they bother to improve in power delivery., That butresed the fact, why many politicians, and those who work in same public power units are importers of generators and petrol stations owners. The more you buy generators and fuel to operate them the more you enrich them. Now you know!
Think of going green now! Think Solar, Help the environment to be less polluted, less noisy.

This makes no sense. The vast majority of generators we import are from China (petrol engines) and the UK (diesel engines). To both countries, generator exports are insignificant.

There's no conspiracy by the "west" to keep us in darkness – that one is our own fault.

Is it about managing pollution or revenue drive. The constitution does not say manage pollution with a permission levy. If you will get rid of pollution, implement things that will ensure compliance to make Gen set is within a given noise decibel and likewise no harmful emission from the exhaust.

But no, it's all about extortion and embezzlement

Does that mean they should start paying for Nigerian government failure to provide steady power to run our businesses? APC led government are busy vying for free land in each state for ruga(ancient way to go) while they're killing the growth of small and medium scale businesses which they're supposed to support.

They should be flog for not providing power and not paying them for not providing it.
