A media company based in Lagos, Nigeria is looking for prolific Content Writers, with web writing experience, to join our editorial team and enrich our websites with new blog posts, in-depth articles, guides, and marketing copy.

Content Writer responsibilities include conducting thorough research, writing on industry-related topics, and proofreading before publication. If you’re familiar with producing online content and have an eye for detail, we’d like to meet you. Feel free to share samples of your work or portfolio of your published articles, along with your application.

Responsibility

• Writing clear, engaging, and sharable content
• Identify audience needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
• Working with the content team and SEO specialist to develop and write search engine optimized content
• Working with social media manager to create engaging social media content
• Ultimately, you’ll deliver quality writing pieces that appeal to our audiences, and search engines.
• Promote content on social media
• Ensure all-around consistency (in style, fonts, images and tone)

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role
• Portfolio of published plagiarism-free content
• Extensive research and storytelling skill
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)
• Ability to meet deadlines
