Sit-at-home, lose August salary, Anambra warns workers

The Anambra State Government has said it would not pay August salary to any worker who abstains from duty on Monday in obedience to the sit-at-home directives of the Indigenous People of Biafra.

This is contained in a public service announcement on Sunday by state Head Of Service, Harry Udu.

The announcement directed Commissioners and permanent secretaries to monitor the situation and report accordingly.

The announcement reads in part, "The Government of Anambra State has directed that all workers in the State must attend to their duties on Monday 9th August 2021.

"Failure to do so will result in severe sanctions including loss of salary for the month of August.

"All Hon Commissioners and Permanent Secretaries are to monitor and report compliance please.

" Kindly give this information the widest publicity in your Establishment.
HOS".

How will they get killed by merely going to work?

Lolz.. You should rather say, what if those who impose the sit at home decide to KILL anybody that flouts their order, as they did to that Professor during the recent uprising in the SE.

The sit at home is not a one time thing, they plan to make it indefinite every Monday, till Kanu is released, and no State Government would condone that... The successes of every sit at home order declared by IPOB is driven by the fear that one would be caught up in a cross fire. The Governor should be commended for the declaration, cos the sit at home order shouldn't be allowed to succeed, as such any move to frustrate it is a welcome development.
