Actress, Chinelo Ejianwu - 'Lily' on the AfMag TV Series “My Siblings & I” gets called out for reportedly selling fake weaves at exorbitant prices to unsuspecting customers.

A lady on Friday, 6th August took to Instagram and twitter to expose Chinelo Ejianwu (IG: @nellyejianwu), CEO of Onyxhair by Nelly on Instagram (@onyxhair_bynellyng) for selling substandard weaves to customers at exorbitant prices.

The enraged customer shared conversations between her and the vendor about a "mirror straight" weave she purchased from Nelly on the 28th of May 2021 for N173,000. The customer said she had first made use of the weave on the 3rd & 4th of July and shared her complaints about the way it was shedding and tangling to the vendor (Nelly) on the 4th of July, attaching pictures as proof.

The vendor made some suggestions to her which didn't help, as when she made use of the weave again on the 24th of July, the shed and tangle was still very tterrible. Vendor (Chinelo Ejianwu) opted for treating the new weave, however this still did not stop the shedding.

After consistently following up with the vendor, they advised that their boss, Chinelo Ejianwu, had asked them to inform the customer that there was no point speaking with customer as she had no intention of refunding nor exchanging the bad weave.
The vendor proceeded to add "No Refunds" on her bio and blocked the customer. Chinelo deleted negative comments on her Instagram page of people complaining about her bad weaves and started a giveaway to distract unsuspecting victims

The customer in anger, took to Instagram to call Chinelo out for selling a bad weave to her and some other people sent in messages also sharing their bad experience when they purchased weaves from Chinelo Ejianwu. One of them who was an old friend of Chinelo Ejianwu before she was defrauded said she paid more than N240,000 and was given fake weaves and closure by someone she thought was her friend.

Another said she took N160,000 from her and sold a substandard weave to her but she let it go and accepted the experience in good faith to support her business.

Another angry customer said she had the same kind of experience where she was sold a fake weave from Chinelo at N128,000.

An aggrieved old customer of Chinelo said the vendor doesn't have any good reviews as even though she was referred by friends of Chinelo, a bad weave was sold to her as far back as 2015.
