Publishers of Port Harcourt Magazine held a press conference at Pizzamore in Odili road, Port Harcourt concerning their upcoming Award event called the Port Harcourt magazine Awards (PHMA), NigerDelta insider reports.

The Port Harcourt Magazine Awards (PHMA) is aimed to reward individuals who have made a mark in fashion, hospitality, entertainment, broadcasting, sports, leadership sectors.

The CEO of the magazine, Kendrick Christian in a opening speech said It had been a long term plan for Port Harcourt Magazine to yearly organize a prestigious award event, to celebrate outstanding individuals/organizations in diverse industries; fashion, sports, music, comedy, hospitality, broadcasting, leadership etc.

That after 3 years of running the magazine, the time is right to hold its maiden award event. He said 150 individuals and organizations were nominated for the Awards but only 25 people can walk up the podium for their honour.

He further said his team have agreed to scrap ticketing for the event to enable lovers and readers of Port Harcourt Magazine Magazine attend without excuse.

The Awards Event will he held on Friday 13th August at the Lesuka Event centre at Peter Odili road in Port Harcourt.
