Recently, a summer camp in Texas has erupt, so far, 125 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 infection.
According to CNN and other US media reports on the 6th, the summer camp was held by a church in southern Texas in late June, with more than 450 participants. Local health officials said that after returning from the camp, more than 125 young people and adults reported that their COVID-19 test results were positive. In the process of returning home from these camps, hundreds of people may be exposed to COVID-19.
The local county health agency said that they received the first positive case notification related to the summer camp on June 27. After testing the samples of infected persons, we found that at least 3 samples of COVID-19 were the delta strain, and more samples were still being detected.
This is not the first summer camp outbreak in the United States recently. American Broadcasting Company (ABC) reported that in June 30th, a summer camp in Illinois was spreading to COVID-19, which had infected 85 people.
