The Federal Government has assured Nigerians that another total lockdown is not part of its strategy to curtail the spread of the COVID-19 Delta variant. Recall, Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Director-General confirmed earlier last month that a new strain of the SARS-CoV-2 known as the Delta variant is in the country, as he labeled it ‘deadly’.
