How Travelled Are You Across Nigeria And What Has Been Your Experience. by Nobody: 2:13am On Aug 13, 2021 |
Good evening nairalanders.... I'm a huge fan of travelling and I long to experience the cultures across Nigeria and around the world.. But being just a second year student , I don't really have that luxury now but I've manage to travel to four states and these are my experience with the people. Edo state (my state) Highly multi ethnic for it's single state, Edo people on a first encounter may be seen as agressive but the truth is they are one of the best upholders of coexistence with other tribes from different cultures, also they reverence tradition and art(especially bini). Delta State: they are much more was easy going than Edo, buh the truth is that different parts of Delta comes with their different attitude, (although I only spent a day there). Anambra state: wow the impression I got from anamabra was on of shock and admiration for business mindedness of everyone from the aged to the youths no one was left out and youths were hardly idle .. RiversI was told I went there as a child). And that's it for me, although I know a lot about the various people from other tribes...it's mostly through research and hearsay so..I'll limit my opinion to the ones I've actually experienced. So wat are yours what states have u been to and what are views on them...help an amateur traveller in training |

I have traveled to all state in north east except maiduguri, all state in North West, all state in south west, north central, abia State, imo state, and River state. My summary about those States; North East generally, they are accommodating, trustworthy and very nice to do business with, but insecurities spoiled everything North west, they are accommodating, trustworthy but insecurities affected those state except kebbi state, kano.and jigawa. North central, they are accommodating, trustworthy except benue state and part of Niger state for insecurities. South West; hospitality, tolerance, trustworthy, but Lagos and Ibadan you must be very careful when transact business with them. Ibadan and thugs are 5 & 6, Lagos and traffic are 5 & 6, etc Imo state and abia State; accommodating, trustworthy but in business shine your eyes, very nice but they don't joke with money etc |
