The only reason he's correct to you is because of the people being discussed here. He talks angrily about Igbos trying to head a place after few years of being recruited. That to me sounds like the criminilisaton of hard work and ambitiousness. This can only happen in Nigeria because globally, the major power behind capitalism is growth and determination to succeed, improve and Excell., . So you can't define ones determination to achieve the utmost position in his field, place of work, occupation or business as greediness or covetousness. Regionalism within a country should never be used as a convinient argument to pepertuate ethnic and religious hate! Condemn it. That Sarduanas outburst was born out of crude jealousy! Insisting that no matter how good igbo workers are, he will rather first provide jobs to whites before them in the same Nigeria is Evil! That's not constitutional regionalism. It's primitive hatred!

no it's not hatred
It's simple logic
1. Your region was richer than the north
Yet you want to dominate another region
This is evident in the first coup and Azikiwe trying to become premier of the west
2. Arrogance is mistaken for doggedness in your culture
You don't go to another person's land and make him look diminutive. It only breeds hate
3. The Nigerian project gave Igbos a very good footing
A very large market was given to you
You know that the East's economy isn't that independent it needs some props this shows in the adding of other ethnicities in "Biafra" and the population of Igbos outside Igboland
Yet you wanted more and more
4. Keep religion out of this
Azikiwe was born and brought up by Igbo parents right in the core of the North
5. He(Bello) also said he will prefer expatriates to westerners so it's not only about Igbo

It's a tic tac toe
No northerner had positions in the east or west so it was normal to say he didn't want that in his region

Stop decieving yourselves with all that "dilligent, hardworking" trash
Hardwork is not limited to Igbos
Even if it were
why couldn't you be "hardworking" in Igboland?

Assuming the first coup never happened we will still be having a flourishing Australian style regionalism

That man in that video sowed the seed of hatred and jealousy against Igbos that have bedeviled Nigeria till today. He will rather throw away merits and hardwork than allow Igbos to ascend meritoriously. As educated and eloquent as he was, he was just vituperating biles that is poisonous to minds of feebles.

For me, it was an assertion borne our of fear and insecurity. Very unnecessary!

Ahmadu Bello, the godfather of hate and bigotry. The man that encouraged his people to have an inferiority complex in Nigeria and embrace mediocrity.

His legacy is horrible

Absolute load of rubbish.
You are so terrible..

You actually have to milk the dried titties of the much vaunted "Igbo coup" yet again!? I mean the video up there was made BEFORE that coup! It was even such beliefs as proclaimed by the Sarduana up there that got him in hot waters. Since that coup, Yorubas. Tivs, fulanis and Hausas have all been involved in coups in this country, but your fixation is and will always be on the only coup headed by igbos! Can't you see you are suffering from "The Ahmadu Bello syndrome"?
Next time, When you want to engage, put your thinking cap on..
Your vituperations are full of rabid hate laced with an overdose of base thinking.
Nothing seriously intelligent here.

We talking about a Regional Premier in a federation who had the right to break away from the federation if he felt his region was incompatible with the rest.. He did not! He wanted to be part of Nigeria, a country with equal rights boldily inscripted in her constitution, but at the same time, he also wanted to create all sorts of segregative laws that will make it possible for non Nigerians and colonialists alike, to progress more in his region than his "fellow Nigerians"! And someone like you wants me to take you serious when you support that nonsense?

You guys have a suffocating fear of the Igbo man's abilities in this country and that is the obvious bitter truth you have to find a way of dealing with. Criminalizing hardwork while doing violence to merit can NEVER help you build an egalitarian and successful society! NEVER! It's not my headache that the igbos are industrious. That's the way they are and will always be! Deal with that..If you don't like that reality and don't know how to process it, jump into River Niger.

If Ahmadu Bello or whatever he was called felt that igbos should not be allowed into northern Nigeria, because according to him they're very ambitious people, all he had to do was to break away from the country, form a new country, set up an immigration service, close his borders to Igbo areas and never issue visas to igbos! It's that simple!

But as long as he was part and parcel of a socalled United Nigeria, he had no right to embark on such aparthied policies while making all sorts of sickening polarising comments against other units of the country. Even the white man questioning him looked baffled at his brazen stoopidity. His outburst was very obviously wrong. Only tribal upstarts afraid of competition like you will argeu against that..
