The Federal Government has stated that it is ready to accept and review applications from agribusinesses seeking plant variety protection rights. The announcement was made by Sabo Nanono, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, and Olusegun Ojo, Director-General, National Agricultural Seeds Council, as part of the government’s efforts to implement the Plant Variety Protection Act 2021.
