President Muhammadu Buhari will tomorrow be out of the five-day isolation as directed by the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC).

The President went into self-isolation last Friday after returning from an 18-day trip to the United Kingdom (UK) where he attended an education summit and kept a scheduled medical appointment.

He had to self-isolate as a precautionary measure required of all international travellers arriving in the country in case they had been exposed to COVID-19.

The presidency yesterday confirmed the President has been taking measures to protect himself while attending to official duties.

Presidential spokesman Garba Shehu said all documents brought to his attention were sanitized before they reach him.

Shehu said: “The President is truly isolating as required following international travel. During this period, which ends on Wednesday (tomorrow), he will be attending to urgent and critical documents.

“It is important to note that all documents coming to Mr President are screened and sanitised with specialised equipment before and after they reached him.

“The PIB (he signed yesterday) passed through the same process.”
