ASUU Threatens Strike If FG Fails To Sign Draft Renegotiated Agreement by Gamer999: 8:30am On Aug 17, 2021
The Academic Union of Universities has hinted of the possibility of another industrial action by the end of this month should the federal government fail to sign draft renegotiated agreement of May, 2021.

The union at its national executive council meeting in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital, says government should be held responsible for the possible industrial disharmony.

ASUU national president, Professor Victor Emmanuel says the union hopes the government will urgently sign the agreement to sustain and improve on the current industrial peace on the university campuses.

It's ASUU AGAIN!!!

WITH ALL THIS PROBLEMS FACING NIGERIA, YOU STILL WANT TO GO ON STRIKE?

THIS WILL CREATE MORE OPPORTUNITIES FOR PRIVATE UNIVERSITY OWNERS....

WHAT AM I EVEN SAYING.....MOST OF THEM ARE STILL LECTURING IN PRIVATE SCHOOLS...

IN ALL THIS, ITS THE POOR THAT WILL STILL SUFFER....

For those quoting me....

What I am saying is this...

Most of this lecturers have their children in private universities and they are also lecturing in private universities....

It's just like our politicians that have all their children schooling abroad....

Non of them care....in the end, it's still the poor masses that will suffer from the strike.

ASUU strike is just like every year long holiday... Thats how we know our government does not believe in education.. At least in other countries there are govt owned schools and we never hear of them embacking on strike actions.. That means something is wrong with this country for every government institutions to be falling apart

It is no longer an issue of government, I think ASUU is just being silly as usual by using strikes for their personal purposes, the students will always lose out.
