Seven journalists, all staff of the Plateau Radio Television Corporation (PRTV) Rayfield, escaped death by the whiskers when their vehicle came under heavy attack by hoodlums at Dandin Kowa in Jos South local government council of the state.

It was gathered that the incident occurred at 10:30pm on Tuesday night, August 17, while the vehicle was coveying staff on night duty to their respective homes.

One of the journalists said that their vehicle was badly damaged by the miscreants during the attack.

"We thank God because if the attack was successfully executed, our organization would have been burying seven of their dedicated staff but thank God we survived by the whisker. We ran into a road block which we all thought was manned by the police and vigilante just to be descended upon by the miscreants who came out from every direction." he said.

Reacting to the incident, the Chairman of Nigeria Union Journalists (NUJ) Plateau State Council, Paul Jatau condemned the unwarranted assault on the newsmen and called on security operatives to be alert.

Dont call them that name, call them Muslim boys out for revenge.

All deaths in Plateau state was by unknown gun men till Fulanis heading to Kwara state through an obviously wrong road(a road that led to Irigwe land) with guns in their cars were killed and we suddenly heard Irigwe people revenge.

The media is one sided, Nigeria government is one sided, because the Governor permitted it and he has not seen the peace that he sacrificed his people for till today.

But how come a car at this condition can be used to convey civil servants for Chrissake?

Thank God for their lives

Plateau state is now a war zone and everybody living there right now should be vigilant because the death of 25 Muslims killed there has pained them a lot especially our darling president

We heard he hasn't eaten since he got the report of that massacre

Innocent people were killed and this all you can say!
We agree the Muslims are out for revenge, and as long as the life of Muslims are threatened, we will make plateau inhabitable for everyone..
