The so called touts still have a means of income, i.e. road union. They are too busy chasing Okada and Danfo for revenue to have the energy for robbery. Street beggars on the other hand are mostly people from outside Lagos and southwest in general, constituting a nuisance without anything to add to the state.

Every body just wants to come to Lagos, what are their state governments doing? We can't have widespread development if we don't curb senseless rural-urban migration.

Gud idea, but make sure u have gud plan that can replace d begging.

In fact, that madness must stop. And also, all those Igbo guys with Public Address System at Iyana Ipaja, Agege, Oshodi, Ikeja Along, and other strategic places using someone with big tommy, tiny hands and tiny legs and tin neck with over big head should be sent away to their village to go and be disturbing the viewer there.

You will meet someone early morning and it will be like you should just go back to bed.

Another way govt can also use is by taxing them so that the money can also be use to beautify Lagos. They should be registered and stationed to a particular location for easy collection. Govt can start by collecting N50,000 monthly as tax from them and anyone who cannot do that should go back to his or her village.

By the time they finish with street hawkers, that is when the real drama will stary , the EWA goyin, agbo , Akara , ice cream and yellow bus drivers are going. Then the real drama of stopping Keke and ọkada will resume. At the end of the day, the city will drive out poor and struggling folks and the real fight for the street will start because the people on the edges will not find cheap sources of food and drinks.

Beggars in those places don't deface the town as much the ones down here, who defecate on the road in broad daylight, heap dirt where they seat around. The number of child beggars have skyrocketed. Come and see how little children are wasting their lives away. There's free primary education in Lagos, why can't their educated folks in the city rally them round to tow a more decent path?
