Role: Accountant (Entry level)
Sub-sector: Agricomodities Trading
Location: Northern Nigeria

Brief: We are a growing agricomodities trading company based in Kogi state, we deal in seasonal commodities like raw cashew nuts and sesame seeds. The seasonality of our operations demands that we shuttle some states especially but not limited to Northern Nigeria.

We are charting a new course in our business efforts and so require the services of an accountant. The role is guided by availability and requirements of operation. The position is subject to a three month probation period, however full benefits for the substantive position are paid as earned during probation.

Responsibilities:
• Keeping and maintaining accurate and up to date financial records
• Post and process all journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Update accounts payable and receivable and perform reconciliations
• Assist with reviewing expenses, payroll records and suggest cost optimization strategies
• Process balance sheet, income statement and other financial statements that may be required
• Prepare and submit monthly/weekly financial reports
• Perform administrative duties and other duties that may be assigned by the team lead or team lead’s designate

Educational Requirement
• ND or HND in accounting or a very related discipline
• Strong proficiency in the use of MS office packages
• Knowledge and ability of use basic accounting software

• Strong interpersonal skills, persuasion and conflict resolution skills
• Excellent organization and attention to details
• Ability to work with little supervision in a fast-paced dynamic environment
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
