A good role would have easily been made. A gay character would easily fit into the story, say one of the ride and die buddies of Uhtred,or an annoying villain also. So many open open roles.

There was only one black character in the entire series and even his role was very minor and short. I didn't find this too pleasing. There were many roles black characters could fit in perfectly on the series. The only reason I feel y'all are against queer representation in movies is because of prejudice and nothing more.
Everyone wants representation, to tell of their existence and truths. I see the way y'all be so happy each time you find a major character in a series to be a Nigerian. You are happy that we're being represented. An American, be it white or black, may speak against that character, that they find it off putting because of the character's ethicity , but I trust y'all to go ballistic on them. You're angry, of being trying to be silenced . But here you all are trying to shut down the representation of queer people, people that account for over 10% of the population, because of your own personal prejudice. My dear, shut up!

Just binged all 5 seasons of The last Kingdom. It had the most satisfying series ending. A solid 10/10. Series was consistently good. I'd have rated it over GOT, but I don't want their lunatic cult followers here dragging me.
The only small issue I had with it was the lack of a single gay character . Not one! I was really pained. I know the gay bashers here probably had a filled day because of that

Very unique story...at least to me...
Only very few issues I have with it...

Like the security in the office being a complete joke...for a project that important...the security is very poor...
Also Helly's innie trying to commit suicide made no sense...the rational move in that situation is to be destructive...not suicide...destroy every goddamn piece of equipment, attack and stop all workers from actually working...kill productivity in the office...
Anyway all these are minor issues...
A slow burn but pretty good...not rewatchable for me tho...

What exactly is the difference between the Royal Bloodline and the Subjects of Ymir??
Was it ever explained? I haven't read the manga.

I know the founder Ymir 2000 years ago was a slave who bore 3 daughters for King Fritz, and Ymir only listened to the commands of those with Royal Blood...
But after Ymir's death, her daughters ate her corpse and their own kids ate them too...if their descendants are the subjects of Ymir, does this mean that all subjects of Ymir have royal blood?
Or did the Titan power affect all members of the Eldian race and not just direct descendants of Ymir?

according to what I read on quora only one of the daughters maintained the pure royal blood as she became queen, while the remaining two,turned into breeding machine at the process the royal blood got diluted , omo me I no know lol , I confuse like you.but if o find answers for AOT Facebook group.

I'm suspecting all of the Eldian race were affected by the curse...since she was basically a concubine of the king...they can be called her subjects...
And maybe it's only the direct bloodline that can use the founder's powers...and that is the royal blood
My theory...

Although I don't even know if Ymir was originally an Eldian, all we know is her village was attacked and she was enslaved

This was quite an interesting series coupled with romance and tears.
Mehnn so many teary moments especially immediately cheong San was bitting, that hugged he gave ojo was heartbroken.
I felt for the kids though most especially for ojo, losing her dad and then losing the love of her life cheong San was too much for her.

But guys, am i the only ones that felt cheong San is still alive?
I mean In the last scene, i have a feeling that cheong San is amongst the people they saw when they looked from the top of the building.
I replayed the looks on their faces again and again and the expression of ojo tells me that yes she saw cheong San, they were speechless, due to the fact that they thought the explosion killed him.
So yes i will be happy if he is alive, the romance between him and ojo was a beauty in the show, very perfect couple.
I am glad we are having season 2 next year.

But i wonder why Netflix hasn't renewed both vagabond and the kingdom.
Having all of us are dead.
