Nigeria has won her 6th medal at the ongoing World U-20 Athletics Championship holding in Nairobi, Kenya.

On the closing day of the Competition, Nigeria clinched the Bronze medal in the women's 4x100m relay event.

The Nigerian quartet of Praise Ofoku, Favour Ofili, Anita Taviore and Tima Godbless finished with a season's best of 43.90secs.

Jamaica and Namibia won the Gold and Silver medals respectively.

Fakorede Adekalu started, very well.....handling over to Mabilo Nicholas and then golden boy, Udodi....howver Brume stumbled and that was it. Painful we were leading when this happened.

Brume had been injured from when he ran the heats, but we needed fresh guys for the 4x400m.

Hopefully, we will go again....Heads up guyz...

Younger people are always more enthusiastic & ambitious, as you grow and one gets older, you realize Nigeria as a Nation has nothing to offer, all enthusiasm starts to ware out.

We always perform well at youths tournament but when it get to the senior level we fumble, i think the problem we have is there's no progression of the good athletes because of our corrupt system and over age as well as so of the athlete being carried away by little fame.
