Same thing happened to me in Ghana . Someone sent some thugs to attack me and collect back the money he paid me for a job I did for him. I arrested the guy but the police let them go, saying the thugs are police informants. I wrote petition to the IGP and he ordered the police to rearrest the thugs. The police at the station called me to come and see him so we can sort things out. Only for them to tell me that I wanted them to lose their job.
