Fuel Stations in Owerri, Imo State capital shot down service as commuters scramble in search for black market.

Economic activities in the state seems shot down às well as there is no power supply from EEDC and no where to buy fuel.

Reason for the shot down of fuel stations is yet to be verified though enquiries suggest to "illegal" bill paid by tank drivers before they are allowed entry to discharge product.

Residents are pleading for the relevant authority to resolve this problem.

No it's not as a result of some bills, but rather it's hope uzodima's fault, he was supposed to pay a member of the tank drivers association a huge sum of money by court order, but he refused. So now the tank drivers association is protesting.
As it stands now I paid twice the normal fee for transport to my office this morning.
