Basij-Rasikh went to secondary school in the US through the YES trade program and graduated magna cum laude in 2010 from Middlebury School in Vermont. In the wake of graduating, she got back to her country and helped to establish SOLA, the first-of-its-sort Afghan-drove private live-in school for young ladies.

Since the Taliban takeover, she has been begging the rest of the world to keep the young ladies stuck in Afghanistan in their psyches.
