False age declaration is so rampant in Nigeria today whether in the civil service, politics, celebrities circle, affidavit, etc.

Is this right especially when we claim to be the most religious people on earth?

A very funny scenario played out in a company recently.

Two brothers worked in this same company. Based on their personal records with the personnel manager, the younger of the two brothers was marked for retirement while the elder brother wasn't. Soon, tongues began to wag amongst the staff. On investigation by the personnel manager, it was discovered that the elder brother lied and was summarily penned for retirement.
Why do most Nigerians tell lies when it comes to age declaration?

Nobody lie about their age like politicians and bigbrother housemates

I used to blame Nigerians about lying about their age till I found out it was only a solution to get back years lost to the poor education system and strikes ..you can hardly see people that went to private university doing that nonsense
