SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

The National Union of Rivers State students worldwide through it's president has condemned the violence in Plateau State . The lingering religious and ethnic crises has turned into a national menace as it has delved into the university community putting the lives of students who are the hope of our nation into danger. Comrade Levi Zachariah George calls on the federal government to be proactive and stop this incessant attacks on the students and good people of Nigeria at large.

The National President, has also relied plans and moves to evacuate Rivers Students who are studying in the embattled University of Jos and bring them back to Rivers State. We request for prayers from Rivers people for our students over there in Jos.

We commend the Rivers State Government, through the ministry of education led by the HON. Commissioner of Education, Prof. Kaniye Ebeku for its support and concern for the Rivers State students studying in Jos, we believe that the moves to bring our students back to port Harcourt will be fruitful.
