A reputable hospital in Lekki is recruiting for a Clinical head consultant internal medicine who would be responsible for the postgraduate medical training in a hospital or the training programme of director. Overseeing the education of the cohort of trainee doctors within a local Health institute. carrying out full range of inpatient and outpatient clinical duties as assigned by the director of department/head of division in accordance with individually approved clinical privileges.

Job Description
• Teaches staff assigned for training purposes, and participates with the director of department/head of division and medical director in planning a programme of career development for trainees.
• Participates in the improvement of quality of patient care (Total Quality management Programme, Quality Assessment Improvement Programme) as applicable.
• Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities, within the hospital and/or affiliated medical facilities.
• Abides by the Medical Staff Bylaws, Code of Medical Ethics, rules and regulations of the medical Staff and those specific to the department/division.
• Preoperative evaluation, preoperative management, and medical care of patients on various nonmedical services.
• Internal medicine physicians will commonly manage the acute medical unit and the care of unselected medical patients.

Job Requirement
• Graduate from a recognized medical school equivalent higher qualification in Internal Medicine
• Ten (10) years of experience in similar role as a clinical head consultant
