Wizkid is a Nigerian singer and songwriter, born Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun on the 16th of July, 1990, in Lagos Nigeria making him 31-years old as at the time of writing this post. He is known as one of the artistes that took the African sound (Afrobeats) to the world.

In 2009, he had his first major label sign when he penned a deal with Empire Mate Entertainment (EME) which at the time was one of the biggest label in the country, headed by music veteran Banky W.
