How 7.5% VAT inclusive come take add up to 100% price increase of cooking gas. I think there is something hidden that Cooking gas dealers are hiding from consumers.

The government is a bad one but the people are WORST . How does 7.5% VAT translate to an 100% increase in price?

Punch and it's sinister motive. So na today una know about the tax or this is just to hit up the anger about the in increase in electricity tariff?

What is your problem really? That they knew about it or they reported it? Is the publication a lie? Meanwhile this is about gas price increase while that of electricity is yet another aspect not yet reported!

Gas prices have been jumping for no apparent reason and now the press has published the clear cause which is that the FG in its 'wisdom' has implemented a tax regime retrospectively affecting backlog of products imported months ago! Yet, here you are attempting to muzzle the press. What exactly will heat up the polity? The actual, draconian hike in prices or the simple reporting of the news? With abundance of gas in Nigeria, why are we even importing?

Is that citizens are not entitled to information and should be left ignorant while they suffer? Tomorrow, the same press will be used to announce paltry tradermoni and poor quality school feeding without thought yet you will celebrate such news by the same press!

I don't know why some of you enjoy avoidable hardship yet you won't allow others be informed or react as they deem fit!

Why not go into LPG production or importation so you can sell to us at 3500 for 12.5kg?

The report said VAT is only 7.5% of the increase and other factors like increase in world prices and currency exchange rate constitute the 92.5% of the 100% increase.

But you all ignore 92.5% cause of price hike and masturbate on 7.5% added cost which is legal and in view years ago.

Maybe you want to cook with the weewee from Aso Rock hoping it will be cheaper.
while inflation keeps fucking the economy lol keep deceiving yourself, you can as well say the rest of the world is worse than Nigeria, continue suffering and justifying with by ur useless comparisons
