The Manchac Swamp Bridge is a twin concrete trestle bridge in the U.S. state of Louisiana. With a total length of 22.80 miles (36.69 km), it is one of the longest bridges in the world over water and is the longest bridge on the Interstate Highway System. Some claim it is the longest toll-free road bridge in the world.The bridge carries Interstate 55 and U.S. Route 51 over the Manchac Swamp in Louisiana, and represents one-third of the highway's approximately 66 miles in Louisiana.
Opening in 1979,its piles were driven 250 feet (76 m) beneath the swamp and with the cost of the span being $7 million per mile (equivalent to $20 million per mile in 2019 dollars) to complete

9. Wuhan Metro Bridge, China

The 108-meter-long steel box foundation bridge is one of the largest steel box bridges in China. The bridge was built by Hyundai Engineering and Construction for $ 3.6 billion. Akashi Kaikyo is four times as tall as the Brooklyn Bridge in Japan.


It stretches 98 miles from Banguashan to Changhua, Zuoying, and Kaohsiung. The bridge does not cross water but is the highest point of the national road. At 3.8 miles [3.8 km], it is the longest of 13 bridges, and no land can be seen on either side.

When completed in 2008, this major bridge was named the longest bridge in the world but was surpassed by several other bridges in 2010 as part of the Beijing-Shanghai Railway Project. Construction of the Beijing Grand Bridge in China was also completed in 2010, paving the way for its opening in 2011.

During construction of the Weinan Weihe Grand Bridge, there were at least 10,000 workers 2,300,000 cubic meters of concrete and 45,000 tons of steel

The Weinan Weihe Grand Bridge is a part of the Zhengzhou–Xi'an High-Speed Railway which connects Zhengzhou and Xi'an, in China.
The 79.732-kilometer (49.543 mi)-long bridge crosses the Wei River twice, as well as many other rivers, such as the Ling river, Luofu river, Xi river, Shi Di river and many more, highways and railways.
Upon its completion, it was the longest bridge in the world, but surpassed by two new bridges on Beijing–Shanghai High-Speed Railway that completed in 2010.

4..Tianjin Grand Bridge, China
It was completed in 2010 and opened in 2011. At the time Guinness World Records recorded it as the second longest bridge in the world.
The Tianjin Grand Bridge extends 113.7 km (70.6 miles) between Langfang and Qingxian and serves as a railway viaduct for the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway

3.Cangde Grand Bridge, China

The total length of the Cangde super-large bridge is 105.81 km (65.75 mi) and it has a total of 3092 piers
Finished in 2010, the bridge is a part of the Beijing–Shanghai High-Speed Railway and is the third longest bridge on the railway. The bridge has been designed with a view to withstanding earthquakes. Mad!!!

The Changhua–Kaohsiung Viaduct is one of the world's longest bridges. The bridge acts as a viaduct for part of the railway line of the Taiwan High Speed Rail network. Over 200 million passengers had been carried over it by December 2012. THSR Changhua, Yunlin, Chiayi, Tainan stations are built along this viaduct.

The Danyang-Kunshan Grand Bridge, China

The Danyang–Kunshan Grand Bridge is a 164.8-kilometre-long (102.4 mi) viaduct on the Beijing–Shanghai High-Speed Railway. It is the longest bridge in the WORLD .

The bridge runs roughly parallel to the Yangtze River, about 8 to 80 km (5 to 50 mi) south of the river. It passes through the northern edges of population centers (from west to east) beginning in Danyang, Changzhou, Wuxi, Suzhou, and ending in Kunshan. There is a 9-kilometre long (5.6 mi) section over open water across Yangcheng Lake in Suzhou.[1]

It was completed in 2010 and opened in 2011. Employing 10,000 people, construction took four years and cost about $8.5 billion The Danyang–Kunshan Grand Bridge currently holds the Guinness World Record for the longest bridge in the world in any category as of June 2011.
