As recently reported by the Reuters, the video game screen-time for underage video-gamers in China has been limited to 3 hours a-week.

Here's my take with respect to this proactive move by the Chinese Government.

Today, the world is gradually waking up to see the realities of the objectives of the NETISM project as postulated many years ago. Launched in 2019, several chapters of the NETISM Book expressively analyzed the pros and cons of various digital influences on the resultant lifestyles of citizens at subsequent phases of growth. Reason being that, in this present era, adulthood lifestyles are being influenced by different childhood/teenage experiences in the digital world - coupled with other environmental factors.

To cut the long story short, there are 2 sides of every technological solution; the endless opportunities and the infinitesimal risks. Digital evolution is not left-out in this respect.
Video gaming activities can make a child to be very smart, intelligent, and also become an astute thinker in the future, however, it's obsession could lead to several other detrimental vices (as listed in the NETISM Book).

An epic quote by the NETISM Author (Jawolusy) expressly stated that; "The internet and other digital gadgets in the hand of a kid can be likened to a double-edged sword; it could either make or mar the handler, it is healthier to tame the tech-savvy kids of today than to correct the irrepressible youths of tomorrow."

In conclusion, as noted in the NETISM theory; the government, the parents, the concerned societal institutions, and other cadres of nation-builders all have a shared-responsibility to foster the long-awaited Responsible Digital Citizenship in their respective states.
