It is a wedding with many meanings
to many people. To Mercy Johnson,
her marriage taking place between
August 25 and 27 is a dream come
true. To her fans, it is a sigh of relief
as the wedding had been a subject of
speculations for a long time. The
cynics still cannot recover from their
disbelief while to her Edo State-born
Prince Odi Okojie, it is a royal
wedding of sort.
In an exclusive chat with Sunday Sun,
the Kogi Sate-born actress said she
will be getting married in a three-day
event to her long-time fiancé. Odi is
the same man whose family members met
with the actress ’s family about two years
ago, and he is said to be into oil and gas.
Speaking with Sunday Sun, Mercy said: “It is
a dream come true for me and my own way
of moving from this level to another. Yes, I
can confirm to you that I would be getting
married come August in Lagos, and I will
reveal the details later. ”
A source close to the family said the
wedding would take place between August
25 and 27. The court wedding would take
place at the Ikoyi Registry on August 25
while traditional wedding would take place
on 26 and the white wedding at a church in
Oregun.
MC for the day would be AY while Cakes and
Creams would provide the cakes. Unveil
would take charge of the bride ’s make-up
while Agatha would handle he hairdo. Royal
Landmark is in charge of event planning
and her management company, Platform,
takes charge of media and communications.
The wedding would wrap up on August 28
as the actress will host a select few to a
birthday cum thanksgiving before
departing to a secret location for her
honeymoon.
