Anambra poll: Attempts to stop Soludo ended when the failed to assassinate him - APGA

The National Co-ordinator of the All Progressives Grand Alliance Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe, has said Prof Chukwuma Soludo's bid to become next governor of Anambra State is divine.
He said all attempts by the opposition to stop him from becoming governor of the state would be efforts in futility, stating that ex-CBN governor was on a divine mission.
He said the attempts to stop Soludo ended when they failed to assassinate him in his Isuofia hometown when three of his police orderlies were killed by gunmen in a fell swoop.

Obigwe stated this in a statement in Awka, Anambra State in reaction to an alleged protest by a group at the Abuja office of the Independent National Electoral Commission requesting the exclusion of Soludo from the November 6 contest.

He described the protesters as "sponsored charlatans to make 'notice me noise' in the guise of protest against Soludo"

He said,"To start with, I will say it boldly that there is no any organisation in Anambra State that goes by the name of Anambra Restoration Movement and that is to say that those that embarked on a protest to INEC office against Soludo candidature are sponsored criminals.They did the protest on the platform of an amorphous group.

"I will keep saying it that the fear of Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo is the beginning of the wisdom of Anambra disgruntled opposition elements.

"If you come to Anambra, you will see joy on the faces of ndi Anambra because of the emergence of Soludo as APGA candidate for the November 6th governorship election.

"The people of Anambra want somebody that will take the good works of Governor Obiano's administration a notch higher and that person is Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo.

"The general impression of Anambra voters is that outside Soludo others that are jostling to take over from Governor Obiano are on a wrong mission .

"Funny enough, candidates of the opposition parties are seeing Soludo as their own stumbling block that they must get out of the way to actualise their mission in the State.

"Soludo has God on his side hence the reason why he is a hard nut to crack for those masquerading to be candidates of opposition parties.

"When I said to myself that Soludo governorship project is divine was when an attempt was made to assassinate him and the evil plan failed.

Obigwe added,"No amount of protest, gang up and conspiracy can thwart Soludo governorship project."
