I condemn the military coup in Guinea. You can't suspend the constitution & terminate democracy just because you're unhappy with the president. Whatever the president may have done, the constitution is innocent. The democracy is innocent. The citizens of the country are innocent.

Your military training equips you to kill and to protect. It doesn't equip you to run a government. It doesn't equip you to fight corruption. Corruption is fought by conducting detailed investigations & presenting your findings to judges. It is not fought with guns and bombs.

Even top military generals aren't equipped to run countries. Military generals get to issue orders that their officers must obey. That's not how you run a country in the 21st century. Running a country involves diplomacy. It involves understanding the law & economics very well.

I have the utmost respect for militaries because they risk their lives to protect countries. They are intelligent & brave. However, they don't get to overthrow democracies & dissolve constitutions whenever they are unhappy. They must conduct peaceful protests like the rest of us.
