The long anticipated inter-platoon sports competition has finally commenced on Tuesday at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Ede.

The State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke told the 202l Batch B stream 2 corps members that the essence of the competition is to encourage team spirit, oneness and sportsmanship amongst players. He therefore encouraged them to put in their best for a desired outcome.

Again, he enjoined them to work effectively as a team and offer full support to each other irrespective of their shortcomings. He stressed on the need to play fair as the game is not a do or die affair. He urged the players to play without incurring injury on themselves or their fellow players.

The football match between Platoon l and 7 saw both sides play out an interesting match with the contest ending all square. The match was however won by Platoon l in the resultant penalty kick.

Meanwhile, the female volley ball match between platoon 6 and 8 saw both sides play with so much passion with the game ending in a draw.
