Kogi will still remain one of the poorest states in Nigeria. All thanks to their backward thinking leaders.

You can only be given allocated funds that is commensurate to the of quantom of oil you produce to the national treasury. So being an oil producing state doesn't automatically make Kogi financially bouyant. Just like Abia, Ondo, Edo and Imo are already oil producing states but the funds accrued to them are so meager compared to states like Delta, Rivers and Akwa Ibom. A paltry oil wells doesn't translate to prosperity. You need large quantity to stand shoulder to shoulder with other oil producing states

Let the amendment of PIA begin..
They thought voting against those host communities in niger delta was good for them..
All anambra senators, kogi even lagos supported buhari's 3percent, meanwhile they r almost part of if not host community...

Dumb question. If they're collecting revenue and have access to the sea there's no reason to split.

No returns, no benefit.

The only gain comes when you are included in NNDC even when you doesn't produce oil like Cross Rivers State.
