Omah Lay comes from a family of musicians and his great-grandfather made a living with singer Celestine Ukwu before he died in 1977. The singer’s father also made drums.

Omah Lay has released her classic album, EP 5 song titled Get Layd in 2020 and is making waves in the music industry with something new. He started singing when he was 15 years old, rapping on the streets of Marine Base in Port Harcourt.

Omah Lay is a talented young musician who blends in with his Afrobeat music that blends with the passion of the Highlife genre, thanks to his childhood days when he was exposed to the rudiments of the Highlife genre. According to him, he easily created songs with Afro-beat, but first he played a high-end piece of music.

Omah Lay’s first song was released on February 14, 2019.
