Here are some quick tips on maintaining your Ankara so you look PENG at the next Owambe

• Don't spread your Ankara garments under direct sunlight. The sun tends to bleach the colors out, especially this our African sun

• Don't use detergents to wash your Ankara!!! Your Ankara would hate you for it. Just saying...

• Iron your Ankara garments, inside out. Don't apply the heat of the iron to the right side of your Ankara fabric.

Ever wondered why salt is added to Ankara when washing? Salt helps to set the color into the fabric and prevents color bleeding. Salt also helps to remove stains from the fabric.
