Guinea Coup: Is It About Iron Ore At Simandou? by owagbeba: 9:29pm On Sep 20, 2021
China -Australian row has led to a fall in iron ore prices.

China is buying less iron ore from Australia after Australia tagged along US in her pivot to Asia scheme.

China is directly or indirectly investing in Simandou in Guinea

Simandou is a 110-kilometre-long range of hills with huge iron ore deposit.

Now we have a coup!

Will the coup affect Chinese investment in Simandou?

Who is worried about China holding one of the largest iron ore deposits in the world?

The west?

The coup leader is a western-trained specialist.
The western world have not really come out to denounce the coup.
No sanctions!
No threat!
No freezing of accounts!
No ban!

Very unusual, indeed.
