Chelsea have tried to bring Paris defender Saint Germain Marquinhos to Stamford Bridge this summer and are said to be willing to offer up to 85m.


The Brazilian centre-back worked under Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel during his time in Paris and is keen to bring the player to the Premier League.


The west London club are said to have sought to bring in a defender as he is also heavily linked with Seville's Jules Kounde.


However, according to rmc sport, tuchel wants to forge a defensive partnership between marquinhos and thiago silva.


Although Chelsea are willing to pay 85 million for the player, both PSG and Marquinhos have rejected Chelsea's approach.


The Brazilian defender wants to stay in the French capital after seeing PSG's ambitions in the transfer market after signing Lionel Messi, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Sergio Ramos, Achraf Hakimi and Georginio Wijnaldum.
