The iPhone has been Apple’s most popular product line for years now, and at its “California Streaming” event last Tuesday, the company unveiled new members of the product line — the regular iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Compared to their counterparts in the ’12 range, the latest iPhones have larger and better batteries, brighter OLED displays (with up to 120Hz refresh rates for the Pro models), and more advanced, diagonally arranged, camera hardware.

The cameras debut Apple’s cinematic mode — a video technology that notices when a new subject enters the scene, shifting focus automatically, and yet allows you to modify or lock focus on the subject you prefer.

The phones also feature the iOS 15, plus Apple’s new A15 Bionic chip. The chip packs a six-core CPU (two high-performance cores and four high-efficiency cores) and a quad-core GPU, for faster and smoother task-processing.

Worthy of note, the 16-core Neural Engine of the A15 Bionic handles 15.8 trillion operations in one second, making these smartphones exceptionally powerful at rendering machine-learning computations.

Also quite impressive, the ’13 range is the first of iPhones to house 128 Gigabytes of storage space at the least — and up to 1 Terabyte for the Pro and Pro Max models — so mobile photographers and videographers have more than enough on their smartphones for storing every beautiful moment they capture.
