Cognitivereason:Excellent insight. No private entity invests in rail infrastructure as it is capital intensive, not immediately profitable and highly regulated. Govts build those sort of infrastructure because they open up new markets and enable many others. We have a huge infrastructure deficit in Nigeria that needs billions of dollars to close and we are only just scratching the surface. Even US is now trying to pass a $1.6trillion infrastructure fund to close their own gap when compared with China. That will be funded via loans too. 1 Like |
