Ronaldo Has Silenced Two Wrong Notions People Had about Him Ever Since He Joined Man United

Cristiano Ronaldo completed a move to Manchester United during the summer transfer window on a two year deal with an option to extend by another year.


He was contracted to Juventus for four years but chose not to continue after three years playing in the white and black stripes of the old ladies. His homecoming has been a fantastic one so far after netting four goals in three appearances for the club.


Before now, Cristiano Ronaldo had come under non-constructive criticism despite his tremendous achievements in football, as many would question his character as a player and the reason behind his incredible goal-scoring records.

However, since the five-time Ballon dOr winner stepped his foot back at Old Trafford in less than a month, he has rewritten some of the wrong notions people had about him in the following ways;


1. They said he can't score three or four goals without a penalty (Penaldo)

Let me again remind you that Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro has scored four brilliant goals for Manchester United in just three appearances for the club and none of them came from penalties.

He registered his name on the goalscorers sheet in his second debut match against Newcastle United by scoring in the stoppage time of the first half after a slip from the goalkeeper and also through a perfect left-footed strike from the edge of the box in the second half.


He was also on the score sheet during their UEFA Champions League match against Young Boys which he tapped in from a lovely cross from Bruno Fernandes. The fourth goal came last weekend against West Ham as the goalkeeper couldn't hold onto Cristiano's shot as the striker tapped in on the rebound.



Ronaldo had three penalty appeals turned down in that match against West Ham United in the EPL but yet, he still scored to show that he doesn't need a penalty to prove his credibility in front of goal.

2. They said he is too arrogant as a footballer.



Well, it all depends on the context of their accusations but I still feel being judgemental about a player who has a burning desire to see through perfection, which is oftentimes exhibited by his reactions isn't enough reason to classify him as arrogant.


Ronaldo has on many occasions before now shown that he is the simplest of all beings with a high spirit of compassion and love for humanity. Recently, during the warm-up match between Young Boys and Manchester United, he accidentally hit a female steward with his shot which brought her down.


Ronaldo left the pitch to meet with the lady and was seen checking up on her to be sure she was okay as medics were attending to her. At the end of the match, he offered his signed Jersey to the lady despite losing the game to show how much he cared about her well being.


Such gesture cannot come from an arrogant individual as he would have chosen not to remember her due to the defeat or maybe because he had earlier checked on her to be sure she's fine but yet, he did the unbelievable. That was so thoughtful of him.
