REASON TO SAVE?
Having the virtue to save brings forth good outcomes. A good reason to save is to avoid regrets in the future. When we save, we enjoy the added comfort and sense of accomplishment that comes with the process and results of saving. The result of savings is greater freedom to live well in the future. Don't know why u didn't post the whole article.
Here's the rest if it:

So here are some tips that can help you save even in the most difficult times.

Be In Control
Saving requires some financial discipline. Saving money is like losing weight or controlling your weight; they both take discipline and depend on your attitude. The key to successful savings is seeing it as a game of self-control in which you make careful choices even when you are faced with a multitude of daily temptations to derail the process.

Think About The Benefits
In both saving and weight management, those who are successful focus on the benefits rather than the tough decisions that need to be made. Like Weight Watchers, they enjoy being fit, looking good, in good health, and receiving compliments. Visually, savers should be pleased that the process would lead to a financially secure future.

Curtain unnecessary Buying
One of the main secrets of saving is to be wary of impulse purchases. Impulse buying is buying things without planning. When shopping, make a list before you even leave the house. Don’t make the list without taking stock of what you have and what you don’t. We have returned from shopping several times to find that we already have some of the items we just purchased. Making a list before you go shopping helps you stay focused on what you are doing with your money. When shopping for groceries, practice the concept of a “doubling positive” which is a situation where you don’t buy anything unless you and your spouse say yes.

Review Your Expenses
Review your spending monthly or bi-monthly and find out if each expense got you the same value for your money. Consider whether all the expenses were equally useful. Discover those expenses that you could have successfully and happily replaced with cheaper alternatives and those without which you could have had fun and have so much happiness; then cut them out and save money instead.

Opportunity Cost
To cultivate a habit of saving, think of each Money you spend in terms of how much it might become when you retire.
