From The Information Gathered By , The inferno that resulted from the blast was said to have spread in the community, destroying houses, valuable properties and leaving some residents severely injured.

According to reports, the incident happened when one of the tankers conveying the inflammable product was flagged down by a petroleum task force operating in the area.

Eyewitnesses allege that while the task force was trying to 'inspect' the tanker driver, another tanker driver on speed lost control and hit the stationary one at the checkpoint.

The two tankers fell, spilled their contents, and burst into flames.

OP, that is not how the story played. The accident was between a bunkery Ford van and broken down flat bed trailer conveying a container with a white powdery substance which wasn't ascertained as at when I got there. Here's the story, it occurred in the wee hours of the morning as the occupants of the bunkery van conveying bunkery diesel(which isn't properly refined) approached the army checkpoint they rogered normal #100 egunge as they cunningly drove pass the checkpoint, one of the army personnel quickly noticed that they were bunkery lads probably from the smell of the product as they drove pass them then the Ford van driver hurriedly sped off as the army were trying to chase the van increased pace and lost control before he rammed the broken down trailer trapping the occupants before the fire started and the driver of the first managed to escape but it burned him and turned him to white skin and he didn't survive it. The other two occupants of the vehicle were a female and a male whom were trapped and burnt to ashes. The product spilled and flowed through the nearby houses and burnt down shops and also was told that a few months old baby was in one of the houses got burnt to death. The army personnels saw the crash and drove pass as if nothing happened.

Inside life....in the quest of finding there daily bread or probably they had plan to own there own fueling station and they died untimely. My anger is how will their family members identify the ashes. Life itself is a mysterious mystery. The victims had prospects, responsibilities, dreams. So unfortunate and may their souls rest in the bossom of our Dear Lord.
