Without It, Nothing Is Made That Can Be Made by Ekpenyongoffio: 1:43pm On Sep 29, 2021
Everything possessing a defined shape or look has a skeleton as it's framework or foundation.

From large heavy machines to the smallest of the machines are no exceptions!

As plants can't do without water, and the humans without food, so can "manufacturing" go without CAD.

Computer-Aided Design has come to stay., and it's one of the biggest things that ever happened to the manufacturing sector. its impact could also be considered as a game-changer in the industry.

SO WHAT CAN BE MADE WITHOUT IT THAT COULD BE MADE??

Absolutely Nothing!!

In 2015, Mercedes transitioned from using CATIA for their Car Design and manufacturing to Siemens Nx. What subtle point does this prove?

Apart from the fact that companies’ preference to particular software usage solely stems from factors only considered by them to be important, the transition out-rightly showed that CAD has become an integral part of the manufacturing process and a major role too.

It's high time we knew and admit that CAD is not just Software!! It is Manufacturing itself!!, it is Design made easy and it is Creativity at the highest peak!

Little wonder why CAD is the Top on the list when talking about important skills to possess if one intends to practice the profession called "Engineering"?

The answer is simple! - WITHOUT IT, NOTHING IS MADE THAT COULD BE MADE!

You need knowledge of CAD to become a creative in the field of Design and manufacturing!.

Show me a company that manufactures without CAD and I will show you a business that is likely to fail!!...CAD is nobody's mate!!..

CAD has evolved past the 2D and 3D stage only. It now wines and dines with Analysis involving stress (Structural), CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), thermal, and other intangible but vital concepts which Engineering and Manufacturing rest heavily upon.

Tell me, without all this concepts being easily handled within the spheres of CAD much more efficiently and effectively, "WHAT COULD EVER BE MADE, THAT COULD BE MADE?" You are right! Nothing! Totally nothing! Except failed structures, machines and mechanical systems...

An organization or individual seeking growth, profits and impact would Invest time on mastering a CAD Tool which in turn will help reap benefits- save millions in cost & make millions in profits as compared to the traditional iterative product design methods.

Specifically, as individuals’ CAD not only triggers a 3D and Analytical thinking, it basically helps become more detail-oriented and then opens us up to new "career opportunities" both at home and in diaspora!!!

Yes, career opportunities!. Skeptical about the "career opportunities “part? Right?
You can can ask #proforce Limited, #Nigerian foundries Limited, #olakleen holdings, et.,al to verify all these..

Meanwhile below is wrankel Engine used in Nortan classic air-cooled twin rotor motorcycle and Mazda Rx-8 sports car.
It had more uniform torque, less vibration, uniquely compact and weighed less.

The Engine is no longer in vogue, but this was just to show how powerful a CAD tool can be.
Modelled and rendered with Solidworks software.
