Please o, how does it work? How do you know if a person is depressed or not? Is it even a real condition? The reason I am asking is I know this guy that over the past 15 to 20 years since I've known him and more so recently, he's had so much bad stuff happen to him that would have broken any sane person but he seems fine on the outside and I think his coping mechanism has been to pretend that everything is fine even when it's not. This level of apathy cannot be healthy, I hope he's not sitting on a time bomb here. Also, he had a nervous breakdown one time and even attempted suicide once.

Is there anyway I can help him to avoid stories that touch?
